Trip Finances

Team expenses should be paid in full two weeks prior to travel so that funds can be sent to Haiti ahead of us to make necessary arrangements.
You may wish to bring funds for personal expenses, between $100 – $200 (depending on the number of gifts or souvenirs you wish to bring home).
American money is fine. Souvenirs can be bought from vendors who will come to the Mercy House and will be happy to accept American money. You will also need money for the offering plate at church and for food at the airports.
Small bills work best (1‟s and 5‟s) as no one is going to give you change.
NEVER TAKE A WAD OF CASH OUT OF YOUR POCKET. Have bills separated in different pockets when dealing with vendors or preparing for church.
